St. Cloud, MN Newborn Photographer | Bryce’s Newborn Session

This little cutie and his parents traveled from Holdingford for Bryce’s newborn session. It was a stormy day outside (complete with thunder and hail), but we’re glad they braved the weather. It’s always cozy in our St. Cloud, MN photo studio! (In fact, we recommend dressing in layers when you come! We keep it nice and toasty so that babies stay comfortable during outfit changes.)

We did a couple of different bucket setups for baby Bryce, as well as a couple of swaddles and a pillow that was just the right size for that little head. We also wanted some variety in our colors, so we chose to do some of our setups with neutrals and some with a nice combination of blue and rust.

Bryce was adorable and we’re so happy that, even though we’re about half an hour away, Mom and Dad chose Tiny Hearts Studio as their St. Cloud, MN newborn photographer!

St. Cloud, MN Newborn Photographer | Newborn Session

Just look at that sweet sleepy smile! And those toes sticking out of the swaddle! Doesn’t get much cuter than that.

We chose a warm color palette for this newborn photography session. Some neutrals and blue-greens for our baby pictures, and then some nice fall colors for our newborn and family pictures.

This little guy was adorable and a real champ for us. We got to try him out with several different outfits and props since he was very cooperative and didn’t seem too bothered by anything we were doing. Hats, swaddles, buckets, snuggle poses—he was happy with all of it!

Big sister was such a cutie too! She was a little young to hold baby safely on her own, but we still got some great sibling and family photos. Baby’s safety is top priority, but there are plenty of ways to include toddler siblings in our images that don’t involve them actually holding their new little brother or sister. Just ask us for recommendations!

St. Cloud, MN Newborn Photographer | Kane’s Newborn Session

Check out this sweet baby boy! Mom, Dad, and big brother all made the trip to the studio in St. Cloud for a newborn photo session with new baby Kane.

We got some super cute photos with everyone.

Big brother was awesome with the little guy, which gave us a bit more flexibility in posing. We do pics with toddler siblings all the time (which I love!) but it’s fun to have an older kiddo in the mix. With toddlers it’s mostly the challenge of keeping them still long enough for a shot! And since they’re still figuring out motor skills and don’t understand how delicate babies are, I always take precautions for safety reasons. Since older kiddos are more mature and coordinated (and better at following instructions!) it opens up a whole new world of possibilities for photography.

I love the earth tones we used for Kane’s newborn session. The golds, greens, blues, and grays put me in mind of autumn—which is perfect because we did this shoot right at that golden season when summer is just turning into fall.

St. Cloud, MN Newborn Photographer | Bryson’s Newborn Session

I feel like most of the newborn sessions I’ve posted lately have been of baby girls. So I’m excited to share a few baby boy pics from Bryson’s newborn session!

This little dude was such a cutie and had the best expressions! Puckered lips, pouty lips, raised eyebrows, contented little smile, I’m-about-to-cry face. You name it, he gave us every single one! I loved capturing them all as he ran the emotional gamut in my St. Cloud, MN newborn photo studio. 😊

Mom wanted a variety of colors, so we did some neutral setups with gray and cream, and then also used blues, greens, and yellows. It added a really fun element to our baby photos while still keeping it low-key without anything super bright.

And we also made sure to get some mother and son shots. So sweet!

Newborn Photo Session | MN Baby Photographer

Another gorgeous newborn photo session, this time with a sweet baby girl! We used a lot of white in this session. Pink for girls is traditional, but we wanted to do something a little different! Even when we threw some color in there we went for deeper shades like rust, forest green, and ruby red. As a MN baby photographer, I actually love using dark colors like that for baby girls. It’s unexpected and oh-so-pretty! (Not to mention, the red and green was perfect for the holidays!)

Choosing props is one of the many fun parts of doing a newborn photo session. From bowls to beds, baskets to buckets, we have something for everyone at both of our studio locations (in Chanhassen, MN and St. Cloud, MN.) We decided to do a little bit of everything for this baby girl!

The rest of the family joined us at the studio for these baby portraits too. We focused most of our time on baby girl, but also made sure to get some newborn and sibling images too! These are always client faves and sure to be a treasure!
